Principal Training and Strategic Engagement Officer Resources (Organisation site)

The State Valuation Service (SVS) manages land valuations in Queensland and supports the Valuer-General in maintaining the valuation roll. The leadership team seeks a well-experienced and strategic training leader to develop and implement a training strategy that meets the evolving needs of the SVS while fostering a customer-centric approach. This role also oversees strategic communications and engagement to enhance capability and build trust with landowners and stakeholders, ensuring compliance with the Land Valuation Act.
In this role you will:

Manage, monitor and report on the delivery of a strategic training and engagement strategy and associated plans across the SVS. Lead implementation, monitoring and evaluation of strategic training and engagement initiatives for the SVS including training needs analysis to support consistent and customer-centric outcomes. Coordinate the sourcing and development of appropriate training programs to meet the training needs of the SVS including providing advice on the mode and method of delivery in a busy and long-established team. Drive practical competency-based training tailored to the needs of the business units ensuring training materials, methods and programs reflect SVS requirements. Develop and deliver a statewide training and engagement strategy and plan for SVS. Consult and liaise with SVS staff, external consultants, government agencies, educational and professional groups regarding the development and implementation of appropriate training programs. Ensure training materials and resources are developed and maintained in accordance with national and departmental requirements. Maintain a training database to ensure accountability and provide transparency in the management of training activity. Provide advice and options to senior management regarding the training requirements of the SVS and report on the progress of both training and engagement initiatives. Establish and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and apply high-level oral and written communication, negotiation, and influencing skills and best practice strategic engagement in your daily practice. In collaboration with senior management identify areas for continuous improvement. This position requires:
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, and strategic communications/engagement experience is highly desirable.
