Key Competencies: Telecommunications design, installation, testing and commissioning Network and security infrastructure design and implementation Project management / design management Technical documentation and associated Quality Assurance Leadership and coordination of field-based technicians and subcontractors Network infrastructure project upgrades and support services LAN/WAN design, installation, and configuration Network and security architecture design Network and security reviews and audits ICT Infrastructure network services management and operations Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related qualifications or experience Minimum of 7 years of Telecommunications experience Network and security infrastructure design and implementation IP based networking systems including MPLS PDH, SDH multiplexers DWDM systems Optical fibre bearer technology LAN/WAN design, installation, and configuration Network infrastructure project upgrades and support services Telecommunications DC power systems – chargers, DC supplies, and solar power systems VHF, UHF, Fibre, Microwave, and Power Line Carrier-based communications technologies Preferred Expertise Project management / design management experience Experience with testing, fault finding and commissioning of telecommunications links and networks Factory or Site Acceptance Testing Electricity networks LAN/WAN experience Network and security architecture design Network and security reviews and audits ICT Infrastructure network services management and operations Knowledge of electrical power systems and their operation Knowledge of SCADA systems including RTUs and Main Control Centre technologies and the associated telemetry, automation, and networking systems Protection Signalling systems CAD competencies Expertise with Cybersecurity, Distributed Energy Resources / DERMS an advantage Attributes and Skills: Problem analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation Time and Task Management Mission critical project support experience and mindset Knowledge of maintaining communications network infrastructure that supports real-time critical business systems Strong ability to communicate (verbal and written) technical and complex information with peers, management, and clients Solid teamwork and interpersonal skills Self-motivation, self-discipline, and the ability to work with limited guidance Special Requirements: Driver's licence Ability to travel, occasionally working after hours as needed for special assignments Please note that by applying to this opportunity you consent to the personal data you provide to us to be processed and retained by The PSC Group.
