Principal Technical Security Architect SNSW Grade 11/12

As the Principal Technical Security Architect, you will be responsible for providing complex cyber security technical architectural advice, awareness, resilience, and/or training initiatives for Cyber Security to improve organisational or whole-of-government cyber security capability.
Responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining architectural diagrams that highlight the high-level placement of security controls across the organisation.Delivering in-depth analysis of cyber tooling.Performing high-level threat analysis using technical security models.Providing in-depth technical advice relating to the use of cyber tooling and secure usage of infrastructure.Developing and collating metrics on the performance of the function to uplift cyber security maturity.This successful candidate will have 7-10 years of architecture experience in solution architecture, dev/ops, network architecture, or software development and enjoy working in a complex digital environment that employs agile methodologies.
The ideal candidate will possess the ability to distil highly complex scenarios into plain English for C-suite executives and engineering SMEs.
Excellent people and communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential.
You will need experience in designing and configuring WAF, proxies, routing, etc.
You will have extensive experience in architectural diagramming and analysing threats using various frameworks.
The candidate must be a self-starter, able to take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision.
They should be comfortable with ambiguity and capable of making well-informed decisions in fast-paced environments.
Salary: Service NSW Grade 11/12, with the base salary for this role starting at $151,509 base plus superannuation.
