Your future team Our Security team is building and delivering tools and solutions to strengthen the security of Atlassian's products and services, and position Atlassian as a trustworthy partner to customers of all sizes worldwide. As a Principal Technical Product Manager you will report to the Head of TPM for Security and bring technical leadership necessary to transform and lead the Security strategy.
Partnering with senior security and engineering leaders, this is a unique opportunity to influence important technical decisions across the company. You'll work with world-class engineering teams and security experts to build central solutions while breaking down technical barriers and strengthening existing systems.
As a member of the TPM team, you will also shape the TPM craft, which is still in a formation stage. Our TPM's are expected to have strong technical depth, an ability to shape product strategy and lead the execution, all in close collaboration with stakeholders across numerous crafts and product areas. Your background Recent relevant experience as a Principal Technical Product Manager or from similar positions leading software teams such as Principal Technical Program Manager, Engineer, Technical Lead, Engineering/Development Manager.
You'll have either worked on teams that are building commercial security products, or building Cloud Services using security products and partnering with internal security teams - we need you to have security expertise from exposure working in one of these scenarios.
You'll be an expert in various security technologies, such as anti-malware, threat protection, vulnerability management, security operations centres, anti-phishing, and threat analysis.
For technical depth, you'll be able to demonstrate your understanding of how back end systems are designed and architected, and have experience influencing architecture or technical design leveraging your subject matter expertise.
8+ years experience shaping technical product strategy and leading the execution in close collaboration with security and engineering stakeholders, and working with multiple teams across numerous crafts and product areas.
Experience analysing business priorities, customer needs, industry trends and articulating a long-term roadmap for your domain in security.
Able to translate customer and/or product requirements into technical requirements
Experience driving projects spanning multiple teams, identifying and mitigating risks, making trade-off decisions and optimising the outcome
