The RoleThis is an excellent opportunity for a talented, passionate, and motivated Principal Sustainability Consultant to join our world-leading sustainability team based at our office in Perth, to work on the design of some of the most exciting sustainable design projects.
We expect all team members to aim to go well beyond industry standards to positively impact every project we work on.

As an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team, and working closely with colleagues across multiple offices, you will inspire, analyse, report, model ESD projects and liaise with clients with the aim of expanding the sustainability portfolio.

You will ideally have experience in a similar role working in ESD consulting in the built environment and be looking to take the next step in your career and increase your client exposure, job management, and leadership qualities.

Your work will span all sectors and potentially offer a high degree of autonomy, and the ability to influence, and in some cases lead, our national capabilities, and processes, based on the level of experience already gained in the industry.

The Skills

Engineering, Architecture or built environment-related degree

7+ years' experience within ESD consulting, in the built environment sector

The ability to lead projects and junior staff and represent the business positively to design teams and client organisations.

Experience with preparing strategy, implementation, and certification of best practice certification schemes, including Living Building Challenge, Green Star, IS ratings, NABERS, and WELL Building Standard.

Developed knowledge of engineering and architectural principles to analyse and interpret documentation and drawings.

Possess a body of knowledge that allows you to evaluate ESD attributes and opportunities within designs, and where improvements are required (mechanical, façade, spatial etc).

Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
Report writing skills are essential.

Experience managing project finances and a track record of healthy project performance.

Experience managing and mentoring more junior and less experienced team members.

Client liaison and relationship management throughout various stages of a project.

Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently, effectively resourcing to meet client deadlines.

Infrastructure Sustainability Accredited Professional

NABERS Assessor

Experience in building physics modelling (Energy, Daylight, Comfort, Parametrics)

Experience in Climate Active & Carbon Neutral

Experience with Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using E-tool or equivalent software

Experience in ESG and corporate sustainability

Chartership with a relevant body (or working towards chartership status).
