The Role Join our Regional City Planning team as a Principal Statutory Planner. The role represents an opportunity to work collaboratively alongside a team of planning professionals to deliver real results for our community. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Processing a variety of planning permit applications including multi-lot residential subdivisions, heavy industry and commercial and state-significant developments across our municipality. Preparing and presenting submissions to the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal. Representing Council and participating in planning forums and networking events. Assisting with statutory support in the preparation of strategic planning projects to inform planning policy and Latrobe's sustainable growth and liveability. Supporting and mentoring junior staff members across the Regional City Planning team. About You To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in the management of a range of statutory planning projects, particularly within a large public and/or private organisation. Your highly developed research, investigative and analytical skills will enable you to make a valuable contribution when preparing reports and making recommendations. You will have the ability to engage and influence a range of professionals and community stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the Latrobe City community. You will need: A relevant tertiary degree in planning or a related discipline or lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience. Experience working as a statutory planner within public and/or private organisations. A sound understanding of the Victorian Planning Policy framework and Urban Planning regulatory framework.
