Principal / Sr. Principal Digital Hardware Engineer (Alice Springs Au)

Northrop Grumman seeks a Principal/Sr. Principal Digital Hardware Engineer with digital communication systems maintenance experience in a structured configuration control environment for a program hardware team in Alice Springs, AU. The role requires a two-year commitment, passing a physical and psychological exam, and working a 7:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday schedule with occasional off-hours or long hours for special activities. The selected candidate will perform system, subsystem, unit, and board-level troubleshooting and repair, develop and modify procedures for alignment, respond to system and subsystem anomalies, explain root cause and fault resolution to a technical and non-technical audience, and have experience using oscilloscopes, BER testers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, volt meters, and other equipment used for testing digital communication systems. The candidate must have knowledge of AC & DC electronic theory, various communication protocols, BPSK & QPSK waveforms, and methods for testing and troubleshooting systems that use such techniques. A comprehensive overseas compensation package, including relocation assistance, is offered. The position requires a DoD Top Secret clearance, SCI access, and completion of a counterintelligence polygraph examination prior to start date. The candidate must also have a Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline plus 5 years of experience, a Master's degree plus 3 years, a PhD plus 0 years, or a High School Diploma/GED plus 9 years of experience in lieu of a degree. The position offers a salary range of $86,300-$129,500 and potential for a discretionary bonus.
