We have an opportunity for a Principal Specialist Psychosocial Safety to join our Sustainable Development team in a dynamic, international environment.
This position was created through our recent operating model update to build on the global nature and impact of our business.
Reporting to the Vice President Health & Wellness, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a group strategy and framework for ensuring that psychosocial hazards are appropriately identified and mitigated.
This includes alignment to relevant legislation and delivering programs that progress psychological safety through an integrated approach working with numerous functions to deliver on our guarantee that everyone goes home safely and healthy at the end of every shift.
This role is offered on a permanent basis and will require global travel to support our local and international projects and operations.
Benefits include: Short and Long-Term IncentivesEducational assistanceAbout the role: Develop, review and refine the group strategy on psychosocial safety with due consideration to emerging practices and ensuring the implementation of the strategy at each asset;Continually develop and refine understanding of risks to psychosocial safety with appropriate responses to mitigate identified risks;Work collaboratively across functions and assets to consistently improve psychosocial safety outcomes using a multi-disciplinary approach and ensuring that all contributors are aligned to a common objective;Enhance and develop the required psychosocial safety leadership capacity in the group as well as empowering work teams to take ownership of controls;Assist the group on matters related to psychosocial safety and continually assess new approaches for applicability at Gold Fields;Provide appropriate insights and analysis of psychosocial safety trends within the group to guide decision making;Monitor and report on the performance of psychosocial safety programs and outcomes.About you: Possess relevant qualifications in psychosocial safety, organisational psychology or similar;Extensive industry experience;International industry experience is desirable;Recent management in psychosocial safety in the resources sector;Prior experience collaborating as an integral member of a multifunctional management team;Experience developing and executing short to long term plans supporting strategy and leading change.We work across geographies, with diverse teams and cultures.
