The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) has an opportunity for two Principal Solicitors to join our team of dedicated professionals within the Legal, Policy and Compliance Division.

Our opportunities We have two Principal Solicitor opportunities, one within the DA & Litigation team and the other within the Advice & Tribunal team. As the Principal Solicitor (DA & Litigation), you will manage all prosecutions and litigations at the VGCCC including those in relation to contested disciplinary actions and litigation. As the Principal Solicitor (Advice & Tribunal), you will provide specialist advice to the regulatory operational divisions on all aspects of the VGCCC's licensing, monitoring, and education approach.
Who we are looking for To be successful in these positions you will have:
Significant experience in the conduct and/or management of multiple contested litigation in a complex environment (DA & Litigation).Significant experience providing advice particularly on the practical application of statutory interpretation, administrative law, the preparation and construction of legal agreements and instruments, including instruments of delegation (Advice & Tribunal).Comprehensive knowledge, experience, and proven superior ability (preferably in a regulatory environment) in advocacy and the provision of legal advice of an extremely high standard on complex and sensitive matters (both roles).Ability to handle a large workload involving complex legal matters within limited timeframes (both roles).What we can offer We value our employees and strive to build a work environment that allows our people to achieve their full potential.
