Based in our offices in Melbourne, you will be joining our renowned and experienced Victorian Rail team as our Principal Signalling Engineer. We are looking for talented Signalling professionals - with both leadership capabilities as well as having a can-do attitude.
The successful candidate will also be a team player and be able to work with a range of stakeholders including influencing senior leaders within the Rail industry both internally and externally.
As we are a national business model, you will also have the opportunity to work on both local and interstate projects and for a broad range of government and private sector clients.
A typical day would look like (but not be limited to): Providing technical expertise for conventional signallingProviding technical expertise for digital signallingManaging and monitoring the technical quality of work performed by the team and promoting a culture of technical excellence within the teamManaging the scope and monitoring multiple projects of varying complexity and sizeReviewing or verifying and interpreting engineering drawings and reports and providing technical input into a diverse range of projectsBeing an engaged and active team member whose responsibilities will include mentoring of junior team members in design and business developmentSeeking information to understand client needs and effectively anticipate and meet client needsDefining and implementing action plans to respond to client feedback and exceed client expectations whilst taking responsibility for client satisfaction and loyaltyWhat we'll love about you: A Bachelor's Degree (Engineering) or EquivalentPossess RPEV statusHave proven and extensive experience within Signalling at Senior or Principal LevelHave local experience and competence essential (MTM and V/Line)Demonstrated competence in providing key technical expertise across a broad range of high profile projectsCompetent in managing risk on substantial rail projectsHigh level skills in applying safety in design practices and processesDemonstrated multiple instances of delivering best client outcomes/options which have saved the client costs/timeCompetent in monitoring and managing the scope of multiple projects of varying complexity and sizePrepares and reviews high level and complex technical reportsBuilt technical capability of others (training & mentoring) and transferred technical expertise within the organisationWith us, you can.
