Principal Research And Policy Officer - Svrb, Justice And Attorney-General

The Principal Research and Policy Officer, Sexual Violence Review Board guided by the Manager, will support the establishment of the Board chaired by the Victims' Commissioner under the Act and actively contribute to the Commissioner's broader policy and systemic review functions.You will undertake research and analysis into systemic trends and patterns in the investigation, reporting and prosecution of sexual offences in Queensland and other jurisdictions and provide analysis of findings and potential recommendations.You will work with board members to develop and maintain governance processes involved in Board membership, its operations and secretariat responsibilities.Working with a small collaborative team, your input will be valued in supporting the Board's functions to:• review government policy, practices, procedures and systems to identify systemic issues;• review and analyse data and information held by government entities and nongovernment entities;• make recommendations to the Minister, government entities and non-government entities about improvements to government policy, practices, procedures and systems as a result of a review carried out by the Board; and• monitor the implementation of recommendations.Applications to remain current for 12 months.
