Position Information
Casula Public School has a current student enrolment of 697, with 30 students enrolled in an opportunity class (15 Year 5 and 15 Year 6 students).
The school's FOEI is 117.
The school has 27 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and there are 605 students who have English as a second language or dialect.
Over 50 languages (other than English) are spoken at home and 17% of students were born overseas.
The school is committed to strengthening a culture of high expectations to challenge and engage students to fully develop their potential in relation to positive behaviour, motivation, self-esteem, attendance, and academic success.

Through External Validation and situational analysis, the school has identified the need to use data-driven practices to identify student achievements and progress in order to reflect on teaching effectiveness and inform future school directions.
The school has a priority to strengthen student voice to ensure students connect, succeed, and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Teachers build, strengthen, and refine their expertise through high-impact professional learning that draws on evidence-based research to drive student improvement.
Through NAPLAN gap analysis, the school will identify improvement measures in reading and numeracy for 2025.
The school will develop systematic data collection practices to strategically plan at the classroom and whole school levels, informing future directions.
The school's attendance data demonstrates a need for a collective partnership between the school and community to ensure student attendance is consistent, ensuring continuity of learning and a sense of belonging.
Selection Criteria

Proven capacity to inspire and drive a vision of excellence and equity, using purposeful data to improve and influence teaching practice. General Selection Criteria
High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high-quality education. Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs. High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community. Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning. Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning. Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people. Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement.
If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Classification Structure for Principals:
The Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award 2020 details the new principal classification structure based on the complexity of schools which commenced in 2016.

The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation.
As part of the ongoing application of the new structure, a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis.
The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P3 for 2024 and also P3 for 2025.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
