Women's and Children's Health Network, Allied Health, Chronic Pain Service, North Adelaide - 5006Salary - Classification – AHP4 - Allied Health Professional L4 - $114,314 to $124,449Employment Full time - Term Contract (temporary 12 month)About the Opportunity We currently have a new and exciting opportunity to join the Women's and Children's Health Network as a Principal Psychologist based within the Chronic Pain Service.
This position is full time and is temporary for 12 months.
In this innovative role, you will have leadership responsibility for applying National and State health reforms and in service quality and workforce development initiatives, working in partnership with key stakeholders, and as a Principal Lead for psychology professionals within the Women's and Children's Acute and Sub-Acute Services.
You will also use your expertise and specialised experience to develop, coordinate and implement high quality psychological and therapeutic services to children referred to the Paediatric Chronic Pain Service at WCHN.
Services may be provided to inpatients or outpatients, and via consultation to other community services.
Features of the role include:
Playing a leadership role in applying National and State health reforms and in service quality and workforce development initiatives, working in partnership with key stakeholders.Closely collaborating with the Principal Discipline Leads on inter-professional initiatives, acts as a consultant and professional advisor on Psychology professional issues, and convene or sit on internal and external committees.Consult with other staff around complex clinical cases.Managing a complex clinical case load commensurate with other responsibilities.Having responsibility for the clinical supervision and support of AHP3 Senior Psychologists, other Psychologists and designated staff across WCHN.About You To be eligible for this role:
You will have an Appropriate Degree or equivalent qualification and general registration with the Psychology Board of Australia within an Endorsed Areas of Practice – Clinical/Health.Must hold approved supervisor status with the Psychology Board of Australia at all levels of supervision (primary and secondary).With the:
Ability to provide discipline-specific professional coordination, strategic consultation and liaison, and leadership across WCHN to address clinical matters affecting Psychology service planning decisions, policy and workforce.Competence to successfully participate in the Health Network's clinical governance system to ensure outcomes consistent with Psychology and Allied Health standards, and organisational objectives.Extensive experience in clinical leadership and the facilitation of service planning to ensure clinical best practice underpins the development of Psychology services.Extensive clinical experience in collaborative development, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of planned interventions for infants, children, young people and their families who manage chronic pain.Extensive knowledge of Psychology and mental health contemporary methods, principles, practices and skills across the continuum of care in child and adolescent mental health inpatient and community settings and how these approaches assist chronic pain rehabilitation.Extensive knowledge of the Psychology Code of Ethics, Practice Standards for Mental Health Psychologists and Supervision Standards.What WCHN Can Offer You Relocation financial support may be negotiated, subject to eligibility.Salary package a range of benefits (including living expenses such as mortgage, rent, utility bills and groceries) up to $9,010 each FBT year + $2,650 for Meal Entertainment expenses each FBT year.Access to Fitness Passport (workplace health and fitness program that gives you and your family access to a wide choice of gyms and pools across South Australia.
