Principal Project Officer - Service Design and SupportBranch: Capability SupportDivision: Service Design and Support - Statewide ServicesSalary: Level 7, $128,077 - $136,891 per annum (pro-rata) (PSCA 2022)This is an eleven (11) month fixed term, full-time position commencing January 2025 with possible extension (12 months) and/or permanency.Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.The Service Design and Support Directorate sits within Statewide Services and provides the shared functions and support needed to strengthen services to schools.Capability Support leads and manages the implementation and coordination of online learning systems and tools for use in schools and for staff professional learning, oversee and manage processes for the production and publication of classroom and professional learning resources and provide expert advice to support the delivery of Statewide Services systems, and maintain strategic oversight of its digital business system requirements.The RoleThis is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced project professional to join our Capability Support branch in Service Design and Support. Ideally, you will have experience in digital transformation and business improvement and be able to apply these skills working with a broad range of stakeholders to make meaningful impacts.In this key role you will transform system strategies and initiatives into practical programs of support. As such, you will implement, coordinate and support programs and special projects, including the delivery of digital strategies and projects. This will also include the identification of new priorities and initiatives in consultation with key stakeholders. Experience in managing complex projects or programs with strong business analysis skills to inform process and system improvement will be highly regarded. You will demonstrate the ability to be agile and responsive to the needs of the role and competing priorities.Your commitment to 'best practice' sees you continually monitor, review and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and projects and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Important for this role will be your ability to build effective relationships and work as part of a multidisciplinary team across Statewide Services and the system.We seek applicants who are passionate about continuous improvement and systems optimisation.
