The work area This role sits within Special Projects Unit which is part of the Data Science and Special Projects Directorate. The Special Projects Unit manages a set of whole-of-government and cross-agency projects, including coordination of Treasury deliverables under the State Commissioning Strategy. The opportunity This is a rare opportunity to join a growing team working on high-impact projects at various stages, from problem definition through to delivery. The roles allow for motivated individuals to develop strong networks within Treasury and across Government and provide exposure to a wide range of policy matters to fast-track your public sector career. In this team, you will: Principal Project Officer (L7) plan, implement and evaluate projects and policy initiatives with cross-agency and/or whole-of-government impact, drawing on analytical, creative and interpersonal skills; work collaboratively with stakeholders across Government, including Senior Executives, to negotiate the sharing of information, influence the shaping of deliverables, and respond to emerging risks and issues; and mentor and coach others within the team to assist them in achieving their goals. Senior Project Analyst (L6) work closely with the Principal Project Officer and Assistant Director in the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects and policies initiatives with cross-agency and/or whole-of-government impact, drawing on analytical, creative and interpersonal skills; analyse and evaluate proposals/business cases, programs, projects, policies and strategies to develop options and advice on key issues; and develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
