About the role: The Department of Resources has implemented a $9.8 million four-year project to enhance compliance and engagement with Queensland's leading Vegetation Management Framework.
The purpose of this project is to reduce emissions from unexplained land clearing as part of the government's commitment to achieve emissions reduction targets.
The project commenced in July 2023 and has already achieved a number of milestones.
You will be responsible for managing and supporting the delivery of the project objectives.
In this role you will: Conduct high-level research and analysis to inform and report on the Enhanced Compliance Project.
Provide expert advice on complex policy issues and recommend options for the project.
Develop and manage projects, ensuring stakeholder consultation and alignment with Queensland Government goals.
Prepare complex reports, submissions, and presentations for executive management review.
Collaborate and negotiate with government, industry, and non-government organisations to achieve project outcomes.
This position requires: The possession of a current C class driver's licence is desirable.
Travel away from the centre may be required.
This may involve travel outside of normal office hours and/or overnight accommodation for extended periods.
