Agriculture and Fisheries (Organisation site ( https://www.daf.qld.gov.au/ ) )Business Support; National Fire Ant Eradication Program; Biosecurity Queensland; BerrinbaFind purpose you feel, impact you see and a legacy you bring to life. #DAFcareersAs our Principal Project Officer, you will:Lead the establishment of an innovation framework aimed at building new and novel ways to eradicate fire ants across the NFAEP.Develop and apply project management skills and knowledge to successfully scope, plan and deliver innovation pilot projects.The opportunity as our Principal Project Officer, you will:Lead the establishment of an innovation framework aimed at building new and novel ways to eradicate fire ants across the NFAEP.Develop and apply project management skills and knowledge to successfully scope, plan and deliver innovation pilot projects.Develop a program of problem definition workshops aimed at extracting the unique problems faced by our teams across the NFAEP in eradicating fire ants and lead the engagement of stakeholders to ensure successful uptake.Lead the engagement with the Queensland innovation ecosystem across universities' various innovation hubs, and industry to build strong relationships and enable the meeting of the Fire Ant Think Tank to progress through to solution development.Establish a framework to clarify project requirements and factors driving and impacting on the project with the Manager and/or project leads and/or stakeholders.Lead the development of a project structure to assist with allocation of work to staff as required so the project deliverables are completed to the required standard in agreed timeframes.Lead the development of a monitoring and reporting approach through strong data capture and management on the performance and progress of the pilot projects.Monitor and escalate emerging issues in a timely manner and oversee the maintenance of records of stakeholder agreements.Manage projects efficiently and ensure that processes align with NFAEP office requirements.Ensure the implementation of policies and procedures for work health and safety, incident and emergency responses including contingency plans.Support the Manager as required, for example, by contributing to the development of reports and presentation materials.Licences and registrations• Current "C" (car) class driver's licence is requiredWhy join the department?
