Support the Statistical Analysis and Linkage Unit and Office of Research and Innovation in undertaking a project aimed at increasing access to and use of linked data in Queensland Health.
You will be working on a project that aims to streamline access to aggregate linked data for clinical trialists to support clinical trial feasibility assessments, identification of research populations and locations, and provide evidence to support funding requests and future requests for more detailed data.
As the Principal Project Officer, you will work with industry stakeholders and Queensland Health subject matter experts to understand requirements, design a data access governance framework and service delivery model, and develop and test a technical solution.
This is a 12-month fixed-term temporary opportunity located in Brisbane CBD with flexible part-time hours.As the Principal Project Officer, you will support the Statistical Analysis and Linkage Unit and Office of Research and Innovation in undertaking a project that will design and test a service delivery process, data model, and technical solution to meet customer, legislative, and data policy requirements for streamlined access to aggregate linked clinical and statistical data to support clinical trials and regulatory use cases.
Reporting to the Manager, Data Analysis and Linkage, you will lead and manage a project, working with colleagues in the Statistical Services Branch, the Office for Research and Innovation, and eHealth Queensland to enable Queensland Health to establish a service to enable access and use of linked data by stakeholders engaged in clinical trials design and evaluation, health technology assessments, and regulatory impact assessment.The successful personYou will have demonstrated:Highly effective interpersonal and high-level strategic written communication skills, including proven ability to engage and influence multiple internal and external stakeholders and cultivate productive working relationships and networks.Record of accomplishment of leading projects/initiatives that improve the efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare service delivery.Advanced project management skills, including the ability to establish robust project governance structures, define tasks, set priorities, and coordinate activities effectively to meet deadlines, with a record of accomplishment of proven and sustained outcomes.Advanced knowledge and experience in a data-related field, including understanding of data access governance and data linkage.About usThe Department of Health is responsible for the overall management of the public health system in Queensland.
