About the roleThis is your opportunity to be part of the Aboriginal Cultural Centre project providing a place of truth telling, healing and reconciliation for Aboriginal people.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced person to fill the position of Principal Project Manager for one of DLGSCs major projects, the Aboriginal Cultural Centre.
We have one fixed term, full time (75hrs p/f) position available until 2030 with the possibility of extension and/or permanency.
As Principal Project Manager, you will lead complex infrastructure projects on behalf of DLGSC as the client agency. You will provide key technical advice regarding the planning, design, construction, transition to operations, risk and cost management relating to the delivery of the Aboriginal Cultural Centre and associated DLGSC infrastructure projects.
This role ensures the end user's needs are understood and met, having a key focus on stakeholder management. This includes representation on various user groups and governance bodies and provision of technical and strategic advice to DLGSC executives and State Government. Culturally responsive approaches in all duties are paramount to this position.
We are looking for an experienced individual with:
Demonstrated high-level experience managing complex projects within budget and to specified timeframes.Well-developed conceptual and analytical skills including the ability to provide innovative solutions to complex problems.Highly developed communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a proven ability to liaise at all levels and provide succinct advice.Demonstrated negotiation and facilitation skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, foster relationships and deliver combined outcomes.Demonstrated ability to strategically review documentation and communicate technical advice.Applicants with experience, knowledge and/or understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities are strongly encouraged to apply.
