As a key part of our journey, we are commencing a major cyber and technology reform program and are seeking a talented Principal Project Manager to lead streams of this work along with other operational ICT activities enabling HSC and NAPLAN exam administration and results release, which will have a direct impact on ICT support to teachers and students across NSW.
In this role you will also contribute towards strengthening NESA's defensive and preventative capabilities, substantially reduce NESA's overall technology and cyber security risk profile and build better resilience, speed and responsiveness while improving recovery time in case of a cyber incident.
We have opportunity for a project management specialist focused on improving cyber and information security resilience, capability and maturity.
On a day-to-day basis you will be responsible for: Leading the development and delivery of a portfolio of projects, identifying interdependencies, and leveraging resources to maximise efficiencies and achieve required organisation outcomes.
Preparing business cases and project plans, establishing appropriate governance, resource management and reporting.
Developing and implementing strategies and tools for the continuous monitoring and evaluation of projects, including risk and contingency management, benefits realisation, project impact and quality measures.
Leading and managing project team/s, including internal and external project staff.
Our ideal candidate for this role will have high level experience in technology delivery in both applications and infrastructure areas, a history of taking ownership of issues, influencing stakeholders, exhibiting a customer focused approach and leading with empathy, along with prior experience managing technology projects, exhibiting agility in approach and delivery.
