This role supports the Department's implementation of workplace violence and aggression initiatives.Through enabling a fair and just society we make a positive difference to the lives of Queenslanders through the important and challenging work we do.About the roleReporting to the Program Manager (Workplace Violence and Aggression), the Principal Project Advisor (Workplace Violence and Aggression) supports the Department's implementation of workplace violence and aggression initiatives.The role will require you to:Support the development and implementation of initiatives that manage the risk of exposure to workplace violence and aggression, including training and capability development, and support mechanisms across the Department.Develop a whole of department training framework based on clearly determined needs analysis to improve safety capability in support of both employees and community expectations.Provide effective advice and resources, informed by best practice, to drive improved security practices, procedures, and outcomes.Strengthen incident review and risk assessment processes to inform violence and aggression prevention interventions.Support the workplace violence and aggression program of work in accordance with the department's strategy, policies, systems, procedures, and whole of sector frameworks.Build relationships and work collaboratively with stakeholders to understand workplace requirements and enhance existing practices.Engage with external providers capable of delivering professional and contemporary workplace violence and aggression prevention training.After reading the application information package and the role description, apply for a new challenge that makes a difference in your community.
