We are looking for a new team member with the skills to develop Services Agreements for skills investment programs and provide advice and support to other teams developing program agreements.
Join the VET Programs and Investment team to help deliver this important work to train Queenslanders now and into the future.
The VET Programs and Investment (VPI) team administers government investment in training for Queenslanders and workforce skilling initiatives. In this role you will have the opportunity to conceptualise, implement and manage programs within a supportive team environment, and solve problems using your ability to be logical and forward-thinking in achieving outcomes. We are seeking a new team member with excellent communication and engagement skills and experience preparing a wide range of high-quality written documentation such as Service Agreements, briefings, business cases and performance reports.
About the role
As the Principal Program Officer, you will:
Support the Director, VET Programs and Investment and the Program Manager in designing, managing and drafting contracting arrangements for a range of programs and strategies that support training and skills outcomes.Contribute to program/project development and implementation, high-level planning, financial and human resource management, and operations management.Work across Skills Investment teams as required to undertake high-level research and provide program development advice.Collaborate with high level internal and external stakeholders to develop, implement and monitor projects and programs.Contribute to the development of innovation solutions based on research and consultation in response to economic and social priorities.What we are looking for
The position requires an applicant who can:
Respond to implementation of new programs by facilitating, drafting and negotiating contractual agreements including collaboration with Legal Services Unit to align with organisation objectives and mitigate risks.Conduct high-level research, analysis, and review of complex policy issues, proposals, legislation and program matters, and manage the implementation of appropriate actions.Conceptualise, analyse, design and implement new programs including consulting with stakeholders within the Department and across government agencies.Contribute to the development of policies, guidelines, and procedures to implement targeted VET and skilling programs and initiatives.How to apply
