The role: The Principal Policy Officer is responsible for:
Providing high-level analysis, strategic advice, leadership and direction in the planning, development, implementation, management and delivery of key strategic policy, programs and initiatives related to safety and security in a health service delivery context. Working collaboratively with other team members in the Office of the Chief Risk Officer, key stakeholders within the Department of Health (DoH) and other key stakeholders to support the management of safety and security programs and implementation of safety and security reforms. The position: Offers an opportunity to work across the State to influence policy directions and implement programs. Will work to address safety and security risks in a complex environment and will contribute to improving both staff and patient safety. Works within a broader team contributing to safety and emergency management. Details of Appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight commencing as soon as possible. Notwithstanding, hours may be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or fixed term full time, part time and casual vacancies.
Salary: $124,371 - $130,905 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2022.

Relevant qualification from a recognised institution or equivalent experience.
