To lead the development of strategic advice and whole of agency strategies and policy responses that align to State Growth priorities and legislative frameworks.
In this context, the role manages the planning, resourcing and delivery of key strategic initiatives and provides support to senior management in the development, implementation and review of Division priorities.

Period of AppointmentAppointment to the role is on a permanent flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight).
DutiesProvide expert high level analysis, policy advice and recommendations on relevant natural resource management policy issues that meet the economic, environmental and social expectations of the Agency, resources industries and community.Undertake complex strategy and policy development in relation to the resources sectors, supported by relevant research, investigation and analysis and deliver authoritative advice on matters of strategic priority.Undertake, lead and manage critical plans and projects relating to the resources industry to ensure the successful delivery of objectives and outcomes and effective and efficient utilisation of the human, physical and financial resources.Represent the Agency and Government on resources policy issues as well as various state and national boards and committees.Develop and maintain high level relationships with key stakeholders including industry bodies and local, state and national government bodies to facilitate the effective implementation and achievement of Government objectives and priorities.Preparation of high level briefings, correspondence, reports and submissions.Tertiary qualifications in science, resource management, law and/or economics are required.
