Talk to us about what flexibility may look like for you.Period of AppointmentAppointment to the role is on a fixed term flexible basis (up to 73.5 hours per fortnight) for two years.DutiesTaking a solutions-based approach to developing and managing projects that support and develop our program of work including Regional Jobs Hubs Network, Youth Jobs Strategy and regional economic development.
This includes identifying existing programs, connecting, and analysing gaps in services and policy areas that are critical to the delivery of Jobs Tasmania and the broader Economic Development Group's agenda.Contribute to the design, implementation, delivery, and evaluation of programs, including the preparation of project plans and program guidelines, procurement and evaluation, and budget resource allocation and management.Work collaboratively with program partners and stakeholders to understand, improve practice and co-design solutions.
Proactively connect service providers, government, businesses, and industry with support programs, and manage provision of advice and referrals to ensure better support for more Tasmanians to participate in Education, Employment or Training.Research and prepare high level communication and correspondence such as policy documentation, cabinet briefs, executive summaries, reports and ministerial correspondence.Provide a range of supporting resources, reports and data, such as contemporary, detailed labour market intelligence to inform program design and delivery.Establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively across community, local government, business, education and training and government sectors on regional training, employment and workforce development matters.Work within a collaborative team environment under the general direction of the Director Jobs Tasmania.Application ProcessTo apply, please provide a one- to two-page document outlining your experience, skills and knowledge as they relate to the Statement of Duties, and a copy of your current Resumé/CV.Online applications are preferred; please click the blue Apply Now button.
