Principal Policy and Legislation Officer Policy, Planning & Regulation, Government - State (Government & Defence)
As a Principal Policy and Legislation Officer, you will provide strategic guidance and deliver impactful policy and legislative solutions that drive the Queensland Public Trustee's (QPT) vision. Acting as a trusted advisor to executive leaders, you'll offer insightful advice on legislative reforms, strategic policy matters, emerging issues, and key risks impacting QPT.
In this role, you will be integral to developing and implementing QPT's policy and legislative response to relevant social issues, including recommendations for reform from the Disability Royal Commission. Collaborating with key internal and external stakeholders and building strong partnerships will be fundamental to exploring diverse viewpoints and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes.

About you You are an experienced professional with a strong foundation in public and social policy, with demonstrated skills in legislative development, policy reform, and providing high-level strategic advice. Your understanding of contemporary social challenges facing Queenslanders, particularly those impacting vulnerable communities, underpins your approach to policy-making.
