The PoweringWA Branch is leading WA's energy transformation and coordinating delivery of the critical infrastructure we need for a low-emissions, reliable power supply across the State.
We're fast-tracking renewable energy projects, working in partnership with government, industry, and regional communities to build a sustainable future for WA.
We are expanding our team here at PoweringWA, and we have several Principal Senior Policy Analyst positions available.

The role In this position, you will undertake in-depth analysis of energy policy issues related to the future planning and operation of large-scale energy infrastructure and provides evidence-based advice to the Government.
Your experience in high level policy development, implementation and evaluation will be key to your success in this role.
As the Principal Policy Analyst, you will undertake research and analysis of data and deliver robust evaluation, recommendations and solutions related to policy issues.
Drawing on your highly developed organisation skills, you will plan and manage competing work priorities and meet deadlines with a focus on desired objectives and outcomes.
You will possess sound communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships within government, industry, and the broader community.

While this selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy, it may also be used to fill other similar vacancies (permanent, fixed-term, full-time or part-time) within the department for the next 12 months, from the date that the recruitment breach period has been finalised.
To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments) at the time of application.
