Principal – Platform Engineering
Our Platform Engineering (PE) team build the secure, scalable and reliable cloud platforms that our clients use to deliver amazing products and services to the world. Our people, usually coming from either a software engineering or infrastructure background, have some of the deepest cloud and DevOps expertise in the industry.
As a Principal in PE you'll combine very strong cloud and DevOps architecture / engineering expertise with a collaborative and curious attitude to lead the delivery of awesome client outcomes. You'll lead projects from early workshops through architecture, delivery and transition into operations. You'll help grow our PE capability, and the Slalom Build business in Australia and mentoring our team members along the way.

What will you do?
Deliver a wide range of project outcomes for clients across Cloud, DevOps and Security disciplinesWork with clients to shape their Cloud, DevOps and Security ideas into deliverable outcomesLead the delivery of large and complex Cloud, DevOps and Security projects for clientsAct as a deep subject-matter expert and advise clients on all things Cloud, DevOps and SecuritySupport the growth of our business through internal capability development and managementDevelop delivery case studies, cloud architecture and engineering offerings and technical artefactsHelp grow our market presence through involvement in communities, workshops, authoring blogs
What will you bring?
10+ years experience delivering Cloud, DevOps and Security outcomes on AWS (Azure and GCP are a bonus)Deep expertise, passion, and curiosity across Cloud, DevOps and Security trends / technologiesA collaborative, logical, and pragmatic approach to solving business problems using technologyVery strong experience successfully leading the delivery of Cloud / DevOps project outcomes (ideally using Agile)Very strong skills architecting and engineering solutions using a broad range of AWS servicesStrong skills in DevOps P+Ps and tools (SCM, CI/CD, IaC, config mgmt., observability, etc.)Strong skills in cloud security services and tools (AWS services, CSMP, CWPP, code security, etc.)Strong skills in scripting/programming languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, etc.)Strong skills in cloud-native app architecture (Serverless, Containers, ECS/EKS, Docker)
Please note that this role requires being based in Canberra, holding Australian Citizenship, and having Baseline Security Clearance.
