Queensland is entering a hugely exciting decade within the transport and infrastructure sector and this role is an opportunity to play a significant part in the future of the transport network across the entire state.
Some of your duties will include:
Lead network projects across the state, such as 2032 Games operational planning, ensuring that all planning is undertaken in a multi-modal, integrated, and value for money context.Identify road network operations needs and priorities, including options and recommendations for specific issues.Apply project management expertise through the effective engagement and management of key stakeholders, contractors, and monitoring budget, scope and project milestones.Provide expert, strategic advice to the Manager and senior officers in relation to project risks, issues and opportunities.Provide effective planning outcomes to ensure that operational requirements are clearly defined.Prepare complex ministerial correspondence, project reports, presentations, briefing notes, submissions and other general correspondence.About you:
We are seeking someone with experience in transport planning, project management or strategic policy to lead network projects. You will have a high level of communication skills with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
To thrive in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
Experience in network planning, including an understanding of operational constraints.Experience in project management including principles and methodology to achieve project outcomes.An ability to recognise links between operational problems and customer needs.An ability to collaboratively solve complex problems, identifying the steps to analyse options, build a case for change, and communicate the outcomes effectively.Ability to communicate and convey information in a clear and succinct manner.Mandatory qualifications and conditions:
Due to this role having access to sensitive data, a criminal history check will be undertaken prior to appointment to the role.Tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience in transport planning, project management or strategic policy.Experience with movement and place alongside network operating plans.So why join us?
