Position Summary: The Principal OT Projects is responsible for overseeing the governance, strategic alignment, and prioritisation of all operational technology (OT) projects across the organisation.
This includes leading the Project Management Office (PMO) and managing a team of OT Project Engineers to ensure optimal resource allocation, risk management, and the delivery of key milestones across open-cut, underground, and processing operations.
Key Responsibilities: Oversee the management, strategic alignment, and prioritisation of all operational technology projects across the organisation.Lead the Project Management Office (PMO) and manage a team of OT Project Engineers to ensure optimal resource allocation, risk management, and the delivery of key milestones across open-cut, underground, and processing operations.Ensure all projects are aligned with the broader business strategy and maintain asset integrity.Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent mining industry experience.Project management qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certifications.Strong technical expertise in Operational Technology systems, infrastructure, project, and lifecycle management.Solid understanding of feasibility assessments, technology reviews, and justifications for OT investments.Proficiency in project management frameworks and tools to deliver multi-site, complex projects.Knowledge of change management processes, including site training and transition support.Ability to monitor, analyse, and report on project performance, driving continuous improvement initiatives.Whitehaven Coal offers its employees a range of benefits and support systems designed to foster a safe, fulfilling, and growth-oriented work environment.
