This includes contributing to the growth of the business by enhancing its professional reputation and expanding its client base. Key responsibilities will include preparing fee proposals, managing client relationships and projects independently, writing complex and significant reports, and overseeing day-to-day development application matters.DUTIESProactively engage in business development activities to generate new opportunities for the company.Represent the company at industry events and forums within the Planning and Development sector (e.g., UDIA, PIA, Property Council, etc.).Strategize and think critically and creatively to navigate approval pathways and overcome planning challenges.Prepare major and complex planning applications for a wide range of land use activities, with a focus on high-impact, challenging projects.Develop project fee proposals, provide planning advisory services, and conduct due diligence investigations.Manage projects of varying sizes and complexities, ensuring timely and budget-conscious delivery of client outcomes.Conduct planning investigations and provide strategic planning advice to assess site development potential and determine the highest and best use.Stay at the forefront of legislative and policy reforms, ensuring that the company is up to date on changes that impact the sector.Monitor and manage project budgets to ensure financial performance aligns with expectations.ABOUT YOUTertiary qualifications in a recognized Town Planning program (Graduate Degree or Postgraduate Diploma), with ideally 5+ years of experience in a senior planning role within Queensland.In-depth knowledge of the Planning Act.Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively to meet multiple deadlines.Exceptional report writing and communication skills.
