Enterprise Information Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Principal Information Officer - Enterprise Information Services who can uplift Information Management maturity by adopting contemporary Information and Data management practices to realise the value from the Department's information holdings. This position is offered on a temporary full-time basis until 21 September 2025, unless otherwise determined.

About the Role: As the Principal Officer/ Consultant your role will include:
Managing an organisational element involved in the administration or co-ordination to achieve a result in line with the corporate goals of the department. Developing policy and/or providing policy, financial, specific subject matter or administrative advice, including specialist advice or undertaking high level project work. Developing, implementing and reviewing policy instructions and administrative or specialist procedures for the guidance of functional elements of the office. Responsibilities include: Undertake analysis of the information management requirements across systems, platforms and applications to guide the development of information management standards (IRMG Level 6). Ensure that the information required to support the organisation is defined, and devise appropriate processes and data architectures including the design and development of organisational data models that meet immediate and future needs. (IRMG Level 6) Development of standards for data modelling, design tools and techniques and ensures compliance. (DTAN Level 5) Assist in the development of data management structures and metadata including a data catalogue and business glossary to support consistency of information retrieval, analysis and interpretation throughout the department. (DATM Level 6) Initiate, influence and maintain relationships with team members, other project teams, stakeholders and client groups to ensure policies and standards are adhered to.
