Principal Network Lead

Talenza have been engaged by a heavy industries client to find a Principal Network Lead to lead the network operations team. The successful candidate will have domain specific knowledge relating to LAN or WAN network engineering, as well as network security.

Candidates must be currently located in QLD with PR or citizenship.
Benefits Day rate contract opportunitySalary up to $1100 + GSTHighly flexible hybrid working (2 days per week WFH)CBD office locationIndustry leader (global enterprise)Tons of progression opportunitiesAmazing leadership group and office/team cultureRole Requirements Applies a deep understanding of knowledge in Networks, including fixed networking, switching and routing, network solutions (e.g. LAN, WAN, DC LAN) and security.Translates user and business requirements into maintaining and running secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure that meets current and forecasted demand levels.Works with project teams to safely integrate quality technology infrastructure into existing infrastructure landscapes.Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.Manages problems to generate value and drive the achievement of support outcomes.Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making.Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation.Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.Skills and Qualifications Required Extensive background in Fixed Networking routing and switching, including supporting OT environments.Experience in monitoring performance, capacity, and availability of Fixed Networks.End-to-end knowledge of Fixed Networks infrastructure commissioning process including developing handover plans and creating and maintaining documentation.Deep understanding of Fixed Network Security, WAN, and/or DC LAN.Ability to tailor delivery of technical information to different audiences including business users.Desire to drive a culture of continuous improvement both through coaching and advising peers and self-development.Tertiary qualification or Professional Qualification equivalent (bachelor's degree or higher) in a related Technology or Engineering field is desirable.Experience in mining or heavy industry is desirable.Thank you for your interest.
