Multiple Principal Network Engineer positions have arisen to join their team on a permanent basis.
In this role, you will bring a depth and breadth of experience in working on WAN/LAN/CAN designs and ensure optimal performance across a large and complex environment.
As a Principal Network Engineer, you will take a leadership role in designing, deploying, and managing complex enterprise WAN/CAN networks, ensuring they support business operations at scale.
With your extensive experience in network engineering, you will be responsible for strategic planning, network optimisation, and working with cross-functional teams to maintain high-performance, resilient network solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, deployment, and optimisation of complex WAN/LAN solutions that align with business goals and operational needs.
Oversee the day-to-day management of our enterprise network, including routing, switching, firewalls, and VPN solutions across multiple locations.
This includes managing the data centre infrastructure and Cisco ACI.
Conduct performance analysis, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements to ensure high network availability, speed, and efficiency.
Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for network issues and liaise with vendors as necessary.
Skills for success:
At least 10 years of experience in network engineering with a strong focus on Enterprise WAN/LAN design and management.
Extensive experience with Enterprise LAN/WAN/CAN deployment and support for large organisations.
Proven track record of managing large-scale network infrastructures with an emphasis on high availability, security, and performance.
Deep knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.).
Experience with network security (firewalls, VPN, intrusion prevention systems).
Strong expertise with network monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimisation tools.
