About the Role: Mining Plus presents an exciting opportunity for a Principal Mining Consultant with a strong background in open-pit projects to help lead our engineering capabilities in Australia.
As a key member of our team, you will manage projects across various commodities and geographies, working with clients ranging from emerging miners to major industry players.
Your role will involve delivering top tier consulting services, collaborating with international experts, and leading multidisciplinary teams to ensure projects are executed with excellence, on budget, and on schedule.
Responsibilities Include: Provide expert technical advice and oversightConduct mining studies (Scoping, Pre-feasibility & Feasibility)Author and peer-review technical reportsMentor Consultants and oversee project contractorsDrive business improvements and support business development activitiesActively leverage and advocate for industry-leading technology and support implementation engagementsLead and manage multi-disciplinary project teams, working with professionals to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budgetPrepare proposals and contractsRequirements: 15+ years of mining-technical experienceMinimum 5 years of relevant operational mining experienceProficiency in Mine Planning software (Geovia, Deswik, or Datamine preferred)Must be P.Eng.
