Gold Fields is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Specialist: Long-Term Planning Support to join our Gold Fields Technical team.
As a key member of our Technical Team, you will be responsible for the long-term mine planning activities at Gold Fields South Deep Operation as well as actively providing Long-Term Planning technical support across Gold Fields.
You will play a crucial role working closely with the operational and other functional teams in developing and implementing value through the long-term planning function and ensuring best practice methodologies and processes are being employed across the mining value chain.

The role is to predominantly support the South Deep operation with regular site visits; however, the base location is flexible depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
The role will also require supporting other sites/operations across the Gold Fields group.
About the role:
Ensure close engagement with the operational teams to ensure smooth integration between Medium- and Long-Term planning.
Underground Reserves calculation, design, and reporting process.
Capital investment decision making including financial modelling and options analysis, and requests for expenditure.
Generate and ensure alignment between the Strategic, Business and Reserve LOM plans.
Involvement in relevant mining studies.
Ensure appropriate consideration of ESG and Asset Optimisation initiatives within the Long-Term Planning function.
Contribute to the development of the Mine Planning Processes and standards including ownership across the group.
About you:
Hold a Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering.
Membership of AusIMM, ECSA, SIMM.
Extensive displayed experience in mine planning and mining studies.
Extensive experience in Project/Cost/Consultant Management.
Willingness to support the development of the Gold Fields Long Term Planning Team.
Flexibility in roster and ability to travel when required.
