Position Information
Thomas Reddall High School is a comprehensive school in the Campbelltown Principal's Network located in south-western Sydney. Thomas Reddall's current student enrolment is 466, 18% of whom identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander. The school proudly supports these students through active membership in the Campbelltown AECG, and through partnership with the National Aboriginal Sporting Chance Association (NASCA).
Thomas Reddall High School offers a broad curriculum, with opportunities that support students at each stage of transition. An Educational Pathways Program (EPP) school, Thomas Reddall offers quality school-based Vocational Education and Training (VET) courses and access to external post-school pathways through TAFE, in addition to HSC, university and employment career options for students.
Thomas Reddall High School has a seven-class support unit, catering for students with autism, intellectual and physical disabilities.
The school has an active Student Representative Council (SRC) and offers a broad range of universal and targeted and individual wellbeing and aspirational programs to support the holistic wellbeing of students and student groups.
The school is strongly committed to developing the capacity of staff through high-quality professional learning to support the focus areas of literacy, numeracy, attendance and pathways via exemplary classroom practice.
Selection Criteria

Demonstrated strength in leading targeted professional learning and evidenced-based practices to ensure every student and every teacher improves every year.
Proven capacity to lead and embed effective cultural and wellbeing strategies to ensure all students, including Aboriginal students, those in the support unit and students with complex learning and behavioural needs, are engaged and successful at school.
Proven capacity to build authentic partnerships with stakeholders and the wider community to maximise opportunities for students and to promote the school profile.

General Selection Criteria

High level educational leadership with the skills to lead and manage a complex public school focused on the delivery of high quality education.
Ability to lead and manage rigorous and inclusive whole school teaching and learning programs.
High level communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build positive relationships and engage all levels of the school and educational community.
Ability to lead and manage the development and performance of staff to improve teaching and learning.
Ability to plan systems and manage resources effectively and equitably to enhance teaching and learning.
Capacity to lead staff in implementing the Department's Aboriginal education policy and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Conditions
An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.

Classification Structure for Principals:
The Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award 2020 details the new principal classification structure based on complexity of schools which commenced in 2016. Please refer to the information regarding the Classification Structure for Principals.
The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis. The principal classification for this school is Principal Level P3 for 2024 and also for 2025.
Applicants are to include details of their WWCC clearance number as part of this application.
