Our current enrolment is 273 students in mainstream K-6 and 22 students in a three-class support unit that will increase to 4 classes in 2025. 30% of our students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples, 45% of students require low level adjustments for disability and 8% of students have English as an Additional Language or Dialect. Our school has excellent facilities which include well maintained classrooms and access to large areas of green play space and two play equipment areas.The school is a proud member of the Hunter Principal Network and shares the collective approach to explicit teaching and high potential and gifted education with our partner schools.Student Growth and Attainment, Engagement and Leadership form our strategic directions. These areas will build upon the work undertaken in the previous school planning cycle featuring student engagement and community engagement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.Special NotesClassification Structure for Principals:The Crown Employees (Teachers in Schools and Related Employees) Salaries and Conditions Award 2020 details the new principal classification structure based on complexity of schools which commenced in 2016. Please refer to the information regarding the Classification Structure for Principals.The classification and remuneration of our school principals is based on school complexity, as measured through each school's RAM allocation. As part of the ongoing application of the new structure a review of thresholds and outcomes will occur on an annual basis.
