Moranbah State School is looking for an innovative, passionate and dedicated leader to join the school community. The successful applicant will be committed to developing the quality of teaching and learning, improving the educationaloutcomes of all students and nurturing positive relationships between students, teachers, community and stakeholders.
Moranbah State School is a P-6 curriculum enriched rigorous learning experience designed to meet the current and future needs of students. Moranbah State School is a high performing school in NAPLAN and standardized testing in reading, mathematics and science. The teachers have a clear and common understanding of the pedagogical framework.
Moranbah located 200 kilometres west of Mackay, is one of the largest mining communities within the Bowen Basin. The school is well supported by the community and the mining companies which is part of the township.
The schools facilities include twenty three classrooms, a multipurpose hall, tuck shop, computer lab, music room, oval, netball/basketball court and three playgrounds. Through the instrumental program, students are able to study woodwind, percussion or brass instruments.
About the Role: Responsibilities include, but not limited to;
Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. Uphold the principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Active participants in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
