About Walkerston State School
Walkerston State School is located 14.5km west of Mackay and caters for approximately 310 students from Prep to Year 6. The school strives to provide students with high quality educational opportunities that empower them to be the very best that they can be academically, emotionally, and socially as foundations for when progressing through life. The school is committed to 'Putting Learning First' for every child, every day, and maintains high standards.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students. Uphold the principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity. Embed socially just practices in daily school life. Set high standards for student and staff performance. Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development. Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business. Interested?
