Hendra State School is seeking applications for a full-time temporary Principal to lead their vibrant school community for Semester 1, 2025 unless otherwise determined. This is your opportunity to spark positive transformations and establish an atmosphere where learning flourishes.

Hendra State School is a small school ideally located just minutes from the Brisbane Airport and approximately 15 minutes from the Brisbane CBD. The school was established in 1864, making it one of the oldest schools in Queensland. We are very proud of this lengthy history and our continued commitment to the educational outcomes and wellbeing of our students.

About the Role You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Lead the school community to develop, articulate, and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Uphold the principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Be an active participant in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.Be futures-oriented and strategic.Understand the legislation and policies that impact schooling.Manage resources to achieve goals.Please refer to the attached role description for any mandatory requirements for this position.
