About the School
Established in 1963, Kindon State School is part of the Macintyre Cluster, which encompasses all of the small schools surrounding Goondiwindi as well as the primary and high schools within the town. The Kindon State School community requires an educational leader who has the experience, confidence and skills to make a real and lasting difference. The school is a one teacher primary school with a teaching Principal who is assisted by a contract teacher 1-2 days a week and a number of teacher aides. The school is an integral part of the local rural community with all students living on neighbouring properties with the area being prime grain and cattle country. Kindon State School caters for students from Prep to Year 6 with current enrolment numbers at 8.
About the Role
You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks:
Lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focused on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.Uphold the principalship as a values-based, ethical and moral activity.Embed socially just practices in daily school life.Set high standards for student and staff performance.Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.Form partnerships with parents, other government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.Be futures-oriented and strategic.Understand the legislation and policies that impact schooling.Interested?
