Job Description Fluor Perth are seeking a Principal (Lead) Cost Analyst to lead a team of cost analysts and ensure Fluor's cost and forecasting expertise is relayed in proper and accurate reporting for our Clients projects. This lead role requires advanced cost and change management prowess from a prolonged career that incorporates knowledge across types of industries (Mining, Infrastructure, Oil & Gas etc) and major Client bases, both nationally and locally.
The purpose of this position is to plan and execute the Project Controls cost requirements of the project, leading the Cost discipline but supporting Planning and project Delivery functions.
This role is responsible for providing technical and administrative direction, coordination, evaluation, training, and coaching to a team of Project Controls specialists in the Cost Discipline. This position serves as Principal / Lead on medium and large-sized projects. Acting as a key resource on a project team, the role will require collaboration at all levels, including: client representatives, Fluor management and functional/project delivery leads.
Basic Job Requirements Your main role duties would be:
Develop and implement a project controls plan as part of the Project Execution Plan (PEP) for the project execution.Plan and organize the setup of project cost / budget baseline in Fluor's project controls system, and implement a plan to track against the baseline on a regular basis.Translate both Project services and Capital cost estimates into manageable budgets.Monitor project baseline budgets and overall budget reporting, project forecasting, collecting and reporting project workhours actual and earned, quantities designed and installed, and assist in preparation of accruals.Monitor and analyse commitments and actuals against control account budgets, analysing and reporting progress achieved and measured against the plan, managing change control and performance trending across the project functions to support early notification to project management.KPI reporting and project daily, weekly, and monthly internal and external reporting, and change impacts maintained through the risk and MOC registers.Participate in project team meetings, sharing minor package highlights through risk, opportunities, progress or trends.Supervise and manage the change management process.Produce month end reporting including the review and consolidation of projects data for month end contract reviews.Oversee and manage the preparation and reconciliation of client timesheet exports for invoicing.Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines.Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff.Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards.Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies.Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job.May need to travel to attend to business related matters.Preferred Qualifications Who is Fluor:
