The LHA undertakes a range of licensing, compliance and enforcement activities, maintains public registers and conducts research and education in accordance with the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) (Act).About the role The LHA's Legal Branch plays a key role in providing expert legal services to the LHA and its operational units covering a broad range of legal matters relating to the Labour Hire Licensing Act 2018 (Vic) (Act) and associated laws.
Reporting to the Managing Principal Lawyer, the Principal Lawyer role is responsible for providing legal advice and support to the LHA's operational units, covering a broad range of legal matters relating to the Act with a focus on licensing, compliance, and enforcement activities.The LHA currently has two excellent opportunities for Principal Lawyers to join our Legal branch.
To be successful, you will be highly skilled in industrial relations law or administrative law, possess strong interpersonal skills, the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and demonstrate proven experience in delivering timely, sound, practical legal advice and guidance on a wide variety of issues.
In return you will be working with a small team of professionals dedicated to improving the labour hire industry.This role has a flexible work location with an option of Melbourne CBD or Bendigo.
