Principal Lawyer: You must have an unrestricted practicing certificate and at least five (5) years post-admission experience. The Principal Lawyer will be responsible for providing high-quality legal advice and representation to clients across various legal areas. This role requires a senior lawyer with a proven track record of managing complex legal matters, mentoring junior lawyers, and contributing to the overall growth and direction of the firm.
Key Responsibilities: Legal Practice: Provide expert legal advice and representation across a wide range of practice areas, including private lending, personal injury, commercial law, family law, property law, and dispute resolution.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored legal solutions.Case Management: Oversee and manage a portfolio of client matters, ensuring cases are handled efficiently and effectively.Mentorship: Mentor and supervise junior lawyers, paralegals, and support staff, providing guidance on legal research, case strategy, and professional development.Business Development: Actively participate in the firm's business development activities, including networking, marketing, and identifying new opportunities for growth.Risk Management: Ensure compliance with legal and ethical standards, manage legal risks, and provide strategic advice to clients on risk mitigation.Leadership: Contribute to the strategic direction of the firm, collaborate with other partners and senior staff on firm policies, and play an active role in shaping the firm's culture.Billing and Financial Management: Manage billing for cases, track time, and ensure the firm's financial goals are met.Skills: Leadership & Management Skills: Proven experience in managing and mentoring legal staff; strong leadership and interpersonal skills.Legal Expertise: Extensive knowledge of multiple areas of law; strong negotiation, drafting, and advocacy skills.Communication & Client Service: Excellent communication and presentation skills; strong client service orientation.Business Acumen: Proactive approach to business development and understanding of the commercial side of legal practice.Tech-Savvy: Proficient in legal practice management software, Microsoft Office, and other relevant technologies.Associate Lawyer: You must have at least five (5) years post-admission experience in a litigation and disputes practice.
Paralegal and EA/Legal Assistant: You must have at least 4 years' experience in a high-demand and busy practice.
