The Infrastructure Services Division is seeking a Principal Infrastructure Services Officer to join the Maintenance Operation Team in our Maintenance & Improvement directorate. You will assist in leading members of a team, managing the planning and delivery of maintenance programs for schools, staff housing, and early childhood education and care centres. Our team is committed to the continuous improvement of our policies and processes and the professional development of team members. This position is offered on a temporary full-time basis until 30 June 2025 unless otherwise determined.

Leading the development of strategies for the improvement of maintenance programs. Deliver a number of the department's core maintenance programs, ensuring that programs are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard, as well as reviewing and optimising programs over time. Responsibilities include: Lead a small team responsible for the planning and delivery of one or more maintenance programs for schools, early childhood education centres, or employee housing. Monitor, analyse, and evaluate maintenance programs to identify improvements and ensure the ongoing quality of our maintenance work. Develop and review policies and processes for the effective implementation of the department's maintenance programs. Provide strategic advice on maintenance programs and processes to key internal stakeholders. Analyse data to identify risks and opportunities for improvement and use this information to mitigate risks and initiate improvements. Develop and sustain productive partnerships with key internal and external stakeholders. Provide advice and guidance to other staff and support the work of team members through mentoring and training opportunities. Prepare Ministerial, Parliamentary, and corporate correspondence and regular reports on the progress of maintenance programs. Contribute to a positive team culture which emphasises learning and development, innovation, and inclusiveness. Effective communication, consultation, and negotiation skills with a proven ability to meet client needs and foster and maintain mutually productive partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary strategies and concepts associated with asset management and the application of this knowledge to develop innovative solutions that contribute to the achievement of organisational goals and meet client needs.
