The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a school culture that promotes positive relationships between students and between students and staff, and engaging parents and the wider community in the educational work of the school.
Principals are responsible for being innovative and creative in the establishment of systems and structures to foster academic development and improvements in social and emotional development for students, as well as engaging a diverse school community in the educational programs of the school.
Principals possess a commitment to continuous school improvement and development of the instructional program, particularly the pedagogy of beginning teachers, and building networks with other agencies, other schools, and services in the community to benefit school programs.
About Wellard East Primary School
Wellard East Primary School (planning name) will provide state-of-the-art education options for families in the City of Armadale, accommodating 540 students.
Facilities at the school will include an administration space, early childhood teaching area, general learning areas, along with specialist rooms for art and science. There will also be a library, covered assembly area, music room, as well as an oval and hard courts. Land will also be set aside for a possible future Educare facility.
