Principal Level 4 - Remuneration Package Range $180,581 - $185,948 (Including Salary $160,453 - $165,266) Principal Level Executive Contract 4 - Remuneration Package $200,172 Bees Creek Primary School Palmerston, Northern Territory The level of appointment will be determined at the PLO4 or PLEC4 subject to negotiation with the successful applicant.
An Executive contract of up to 4 years may be offered or the successful applicant may be appointed on an ongoing basis.
Ongoing commencing 20/01/2025 or fixed from 20/01/2025 for up to 4 years Bees Creek Primary School is seeking an experienced educational leader with a strong value-based culture, positive community participation and support, and high academic expectations, to step into their Principal position in an ongoing capacity starting 20 January 2025.
Bees Creek Primary School is located on the rural outskirts of Darwin approximately 35km from the Darwin CBD, allowing for exploration of the natural wonders of the Top End in your spare time.
The school has a current enrolment of 370 students from preschool to year 6.
Our learning philosophy rests on the Bees' Keys to Learning principles of Collaborative, Inquisitive, Reflective and Resilient, which are intentionally taught to enable learners to proactively advance their learning through critical thinking and problem-solving.
Teachers work collaboratively in teams to design explicit and differentiated teaching programs that incorporate whole school approaches such as Visible Learning, Lisa Keskinen Writing Practices, Science of Reading, Learning through Doing, SMART Spelling and Restorative Practices.
As Principal of Bees Creek Primary School, you will lead a passionate and committed team and be responsible for the management of school operations, including organisational and human resource management demands.
You will lead a community of educators who are committed to ensuring that every child has the opportunity to engage, grow and achieve in a strong and equitable public education system.
You will be supported by the Department of Education, which is on a journey to become the most improving education system in Australia, with many opportunities to attend educational events and networking across the region, as well as tailored professional development.
The successful applicant will:
Demonstrate a history of improving learning outcomes.Develop and maintain strong community relationships.Lead the development and implementation of the school's vision and strategic direction with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, research, and a shared respectful culture that challenges and sets high expectations and strengthens partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.Effectively manage school resources; implement clear evidence-based improvement plans and policies; determine program priorities and allocate teaching and other resources to meet and manage diverse needs.Establish systematic methods for collecting and interpreting evidence to identify excellent teaching and learning; use data to improve school performance and share best management practices and appropriate use of resources.Drive a culture of achievement and continuous improvement through constructive management practices, ensuring research, innovation, and creativity while reviewing the effectiveness of processes.You will be rewarded with many incentives and benefits including, but not limited to, an attractive remuneration package up to $200,172, up to 12 weeks recreation leave per annum, three weeks personal leave per annum, cultural leave, the option to salary sacrifice, relocation assistance, and a supportive and dynamic leadership team and peer group.
The successful applicant will have the choice between an ongoing appointment or an executive contract for 4 years.
You must hold or be able to obtain full Registration with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory (TRB) and a current NT Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) prior to commencement.
