Our team of scientists, engineers, and professional experts engage with clients in the mining and minerals sector to deliver projects within a framework of structured practices which succeed in delivering innovative solutions to complicated challenges.The roleWe are looking for a Principal Hydrologist to join our team focusing on engineering new environments.Reporting to the CEO, this exciting and permanent position will be responsible for the growth, development, and delivery of SGME's environmental discipline.Candidates must provide inspiring and value-driven leadership for this discipline and work collaboratively with other internal disciplines and external stakeholders with a particular focus on:Proven track record to driving revenue growth and a genuine passion and commitment to environmental management within the mining and minerals sector;Building strong and long-term relationships with existing and potential clients in complex business environments;Maintain a cohesive and high-performance team within the discipline;Technical leadership and team mentoring;Exceptional skills at project management of client projects in a timely manner to meet all deliverable timeframes, budgets, and client needs;The ability to communicate complex solutions to a variety of customer stakeholders, from technical to non-technical.About you10+ years within a senior position as a Hydrologist within the mining and minerals sector delivering simple to complex innovative solutions to clients globally. Tertiary qualified in the relevant discipline, solid understanding of mine life-cycle. Hands-on value-based leader, delivering projects, building engagements with clients, and championing innovation while contributing to overall organisation success, making a significant positive impact.
