Join our team at Queensland Government Customer and Digital Group (QGCDG) where we're dedicated to growing a thriving digital economy and enabling responsive services for all. As Principal Human Resources (HR) Consultant within People and Culture, you'll support operational areas by developing, implementing, and reviewing strategic HR frameworks, resolving complex employee issues through effective case management.
The QGCDG aims to foster a thriving digital economy in Queensland and provide more responsive, simple, and effective services for all Queenslanders. We offer strategic and policy leadership for Queensland Government in digital, customer experience, and service delivery, supporting agencies with design management, capability development, corporate shared services, and customer service channels. Business Services comprises the corporate service functions of finance, people and culture, procurement, and digital governance across QGCDG.
Why Your Role Matters: Reporting to the HR Manager, the Principal Human Resources Consultant supports operational areas in developing and reviewing HR frameworks, resolving complex employee issues through case management and workplace interventions, undertaking HR projects and preparing reports, providing data analysis to support business initiatives, identifying and addressing strategic HR issues in compliance with legislation and policies, and coordinating change activities impacting HR systems and services while ensuring continued service delivery.
Your work extends beyond your immediate role, contributing to a more connected, accessible, and inclusive Queensland.
Who You Are: You have a strong ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and contribute to improving HR processes and achieving organisational goals. You excel in developing and maintaining collaborative relationships with team members, clients, and HR professionals. With proven experience in delivering a broad range of HR and ER services in high-pressure environments, you are adaptable to changing client needs. Additionally, you possess strong consultation, liaison, and negotiation skills, and communicate confidently and clearly in both written and oral forms. Upholding the values of QGCDG, including probity, professionalism, and commitment to empowerment, is integral to this role.
